Ashley Lee Lewis - Embodied Philosopher

LMT; MA, AAS

Ashley grew up in Lewisburg, WV, and attended college at WV Wesleyan in Buckhannon. In 2011, she moved to California to attend a graduate program at The California Institute of Integral Studies. While studying within the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program, Ashley was able to reclaim a more enchanted worldview - With classes like "Archetypal Cosmology" and "Subtle Activism" leading her toward an embodied way of being. She was also fortunate enough to take a sound healing workshop with the renowned John Beaulieu.

Eventually, Ashley found herself attending the plutonic cauldron of healing that was the World School of Holistic Arts in San Francisco. The late Patricia Craemer's underlying “vibrational” theory was a natural continuation of Ashley's esoteric studies, and her integrative approach to bodywork inspired Ashley to pursue massage as a somatic practice.

Patricia's emphasis on the use of fluid body mechanics has also been foundational to Ashley's style and use of technique. In session, Ashley encourages her clients attention toward breath, while she couples the use of repetition with jostling methods to lull her clients into a deep meditative state.

In 2019, Ashley was inspired to further her education by bringing her passion and professionalism back to Appalachia, where she discovered an Associates of Applied Science program in her beloved home state of WV. Now, with over 1300 hours of combined massage education and 5+ years experience working in the massage industry, she is also an Adjunct Instructor with the MTCT Massage Program. - In addition to being available for sessions @ 2 locations within the Tristate community.
